Search jobsFlourish Education are currently working with a Secondary School in Aston that are recruiting a Food Technology Teacher on a temporary basis. Our client has a supportive staff team that are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn.
A successful candidate must be able to teach Food Technology to Key Stage 3 and 4 and as well as being familiar with the new Food and Nutrition specification. Whole class teaching responsibilities will be required including planning and marking.
This Food Technology vacancy is a full-time position to cover a maternity leave which is due to start in August and will continue until April.
To apply to this role, you will need the following:
· QTS in Design Technology / Food Technology
· Experience in teaching the new Food and Nutrition Specification
· Experience teaching in a UK Secondary School
· Excellent subject knowledge at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Responsibilities:
· Whole class teaching responsibilities
· Driving improvements in GCSE and BTEC grades
· Monitoring and ensuring pupil progress
