Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work at a Primary School near central Worcester. Our client is looking to recruit a full-time teaching assistant to work in a Reception class supporting a child on a 1:1 basis.

The school is located just outside the city centre, within walking distance of the high street and the university. This is a larger than average Worcestershire Primary school with close relationships with the local community.

The school require a teaching assistant to work with a child in Reception on a 1:1 basis. The child has Special Educational Needs (SEN), Autism, and displays challenging behaviour.

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis to support the child as well as liaising with the class teacher in Reception. The ideal candidate will have prior SEN experience.

This Teaching Assistant role is due to start after May half term on a full-time, long-term basis.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to;
Support the class teacher in a Reception class.

Work with a child on a 1:1 basis who has special educational needs.

Small group/ 1:1 interventions for Reading, Phonics or Maths.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
Minimum Level 2 qualification or equivalent

Experience in a Primary School or Nursery setting

Patient approach to teaching support

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The Benefits of working as an Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education;
Up to £95 per day which equates to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
