Search jobsFlourish Education are currently working with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school near Selly Oak that are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 2. Our client works hard to create a school environment that is both stimulating and enjoyable.
This role is to work with a child on a 1:1 basis with Autism in Year 6. The school are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant that is calm, patient, and consistent. They are looking for an individual that is able to show initiative and work with other children in the class when needed.
This role is starting in September with the school hoping to hold interviews the first week back after the summer break. This is a full-time role and expected to continue until the end of the academic year.
To apply to this Teaching Assistant role, you will need the following:
· Relevant Level 3 qualification or above
· Experience working with Primary School children
· SEN experience is essential
· Have supported pupils in small groups or one to one
· Be enthusiastic about working with children
· Strong behaviour management skills.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
· Work closely with the Class teacher
· Provide one to one support
· Support other children in the class where necessary
· Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of children
· Encourage children’s development and improve their access to the curriculum
