We are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in a mainstream primary school in Innsworth for 3 days per week.
You will be working with a child in a year 1 class on a 1:1 basis who has mild autism needs. Read write inc experience is desirable but not essential for this role.
The school is located in a village outside of Gloucester and is a 15-minute drive from the city centre. The Primary school is also inclusive and diverse with a wide variety of cultures and languages being spoken throughout the school, they also have an Ofsted rating of "Good".
The SEN Teaching Assistant would need to have previous experience working with children and be committed to a full-time long-term position. The position is to begin immediately. This role is suitable for someone who is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
The SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) role
- To support class teacher with everyday activities.
- To provide 1-to-1 support to designated SEN pupil.
- Build relationship with SEN pupil.
Required skills and experience for the SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) role.
- 1-to-1 SEN experience is essential.
- Qualified minimum level 2 Teaching assistant.
- Relevant SEN qualifications desirable but not essential.
- Commitment to long term post.
- Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
- Experience with SEMH.
- Suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
