Safeguarding and Compliance
We are dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of safer recruitment and we are committed to safeguarding to ensure students within the schools that we work with are safe from adults and other children.
We recognise that Safeguarding is an important process that protects children from harm, abuse and neglect. Our safeguarding policies and procedures ensure that children are kept safe and that all of our staff recognise that they have a responsibility to make sure all children and young people at the schools we work with are safe.
We also ensure that all of our staff supplied to schools, including non-teaching staff, have completed their Level 1 Safeguarding and PREVENT training.
We love Compliance – in fact we love compliance so much that we have our own dedicated compliance team. This means that all of our candidates are passed through a rigorous recruitment and compliance process so schools can be confident that every member of the Flourish team who works in their school has been screened to the Department For Education’s Keeping Children Safe Standards.
As well as having our own compliance team, we are also an APSCo Compliance+ accredited agency, meaning we are audited every year, to ensure that we are adhering to the guidelines set by APSCo. We are incredibly proud to have gained 100% in our most recent APSCo Compliance + audit and this demonstrates our continued serious commitment to safeguarding and compliance.
What is APSCO Compliance +?
APSCo has developed Compliance+ to provide an uncompromising quality benchmark for education recruitment agencies, which goes beyond statutory safeguarding standards and aims for excellence in competency selection and service quality.
This means that as a recruitment agency who holds the APSCo Compliance +, we not only provide safe candidates but the best and most appropriate safe candidates for the schools that we work with along with providing our schools excellent levels of service.
Compliance+ is a set of best practice requirements for all temporary and permanent recruitment agencies in the education sector, which has been designed with Ofsted criteria in mind, and goes beyond the statutory requirements. Recruitment businesses are audited to these best practice requirements on at least an annual basis by an independent professional. The accreditation is designed to help safeguard and improve outcomes for all children and is recognised by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) whom we are also a named supplier of.
